I have completed one-year post-graduate studies in clinical psychology at the Medical University of Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>\n<p>In the years 2006-2008 I participated in the Study of Sociotherapy and Interpersonal Training at the Gdansk Center for Psychotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>I have completed a 4-year training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy School &#8220;Tr\u00f3jmiasto&#8221;, accredited by <a href=\"http:\/\/ptpp.pl\/\">the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy<\/a>. I also completed a 2.5-year training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy of children and youth organized by the above-mentioned association.<\/p>\n<p>I am an extraordinary member of PTPP.<\/p>\n<p>I am currently in the process of certification.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1553519943069{margin-top: 0px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Professional Experience<\/h3>\n<p>I have been working as a psychologist and psychotherapist since 2008.<\/p>\n<p>In the years 2008-2014 I worked in the Mental Health Center for Children and Youth and on the Daytime Psychiatric Ward for Children and Youth in <a href=\"http:\/\/raclawicka.gda.pl\/\">the Gda\u0144sk Health Center<\/a>, where I consulted children, young people and their parents and provided individual and group therapy and family consultations.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014 I have been professionally connected with the Gda\u0144sk Psychological Aid Center for Children and Youth. I provide psychological consultations there, individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults as well as consultations for couples. I am currently on parental leave.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013-2016 I was associated with Kolektyw Teraeutyczny, a private office in Gdynia. I provided, among others, psychotherapy of children from care institutions.<\/p>\n<p>I worked with the Sopocki Dom Association, where I ran a support group for the parents.<\/p>\n<p>I also provide psychotherapy in English. I have experience in working with foreigners, both with children and with adults. I also deal with translating scientific texts in the field of psychoanalysis. Freud&#8217;s findings on the functioning of the human psyche are nowadays confirmed in research on the human brain, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy is a recognized and effective method of treating mental disorders and emotional problems.<\/p>\n<p>During psychotherapy, the patient has the opportunity to share all the thoughts that are important to them. They talk about current events, emotions, dreams and associations as well as their life history. The subject of the study is also the patient&#8217;s relationship with the therapist which can provide valuable information about how they function in close relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Meetings are frequent (1-3 sessions a week), are held at a fixed time, and therapy is usually a long-term process. Thanks to this, a close relationship is established between the therapist and the patient, which gives the opportunity for a safe and trust-based study of the psyche. However, it is based mostly on play. During spontaneous play, the children express their emotions, desires and fears. The therapist creates a close relationship with the child and provides them with a sense of security, talks with them about what is happening in the office and about important matters in the child&#8217;s life.
